Nancy’s work is trying to determine what micro habitat a female monarch prefers to lay her eggs in. This knowledge will help land managers know where they can plant habitat patches that will best help the monarchs. Nancy is also studying the effects that food shortages (loss of milkweed) have on monarch larvae and if they will eventually resort to cannibalism.
