Come to Breen Prairie Farm to be a part of seed collecting and harvesting. These seeds will be used on other parts of the property to provide habitat and increase biodiversity. Hang out afterwards to hike around the prairie. Snacks are provided.

No experience is needed for this family friendly event. Please RSVP.

Please bring:

• Sturdy shoes or hiking boots, long pants and work gloves, if you have them
• A water bottle and sun protection
• A hiking stick, binoculars, field guide and/or camera, if you like

Directions:

Breen Prairie Farm is located approximately 3 miles north of Monticello on Hwy 38 in Jones County.

From Monticello, drive north on IA-38 out of town about 3 miles past Rock Rd. The property is located less than a quarter mile up on the east side of the road. A wooden sign is visible. Look for INHF event signage and staff.

Volunteers should park along the highway just past the entrance to the field on the property.
