Tune in to learn about the latest research on monarch parasitoids, which use monarchs as part of their reproductive cycles. This presentation will feature PhD Candidate Carl Stenoien (University of Minnesota Monarch Lab) and Dane Elmquist (former assistant program coordinator at the University of Minnesota Monarch Lab and Monarch Larva Monitoring Project). Stenoien will share recent research on parasitoid wasps that prey on monarchs, and Elmquist will provide updates on recent discoveries about tachinid flies, a common monarch parasitoid. More detail is available at the Monarch Joint Venture website.
