The Iowa Monarch Habitat Project will offer training for people to learn the Integrated Monarch Monitoring Program (IMMP) protocol to collect data on monarchs in Iowa. The nation-wide IMMP project is set up to be a citizen science program.
IMMP field data includes a flowering plant survey, milkweed density and diversity, egg and larvae count, and an adult monarch survey. Volunteers can survey one of the randomly preselected sites or choose a self-selected location for data collection.
